[ Challenge ]

Fogelman & Von Flatern was a young, fast-growing law firm but they had no vision for their brand and, without a clear focus, marketing efforts were piecemeal and haphazard. Other legal marketing firms offered a one-size-fits-all strategy that made their competitors look identical in the name of SEO. They knew they had a big opportunity on their hands and wanted to get the branding right. Our challenge was to avoid the pitfalls of “billboard attorney” stereotypes and create a compelling brand and strategy that enunciated what made them unique, provided a clear direction for growth, and resonated with potential clients.

[ STRATEGY ]

Our brand strategy process was thorough and led us to discover that this firm’s commitment to community service could be emphasized to meaningfully set them apart from their competitors. We shortened their name to the more memorable, FVF Law, and created a new brand identity that was strong & modern but also human in scale. We positioned FVF as a community partner–encouraging them to lean into community philanthropy and to center real client stories in their marketing. Then we executed this brand identity to all of their touchpoints–including content strategy, website re-design, advertising, photography, videography, and branded collateral.

[ OUTCOME ]

Explosive growth, community recognition, winning strategy.

Ultimately, we de-positioned their competitors and handed them a clear concept and winning marketing strategy that has led to explosive growth and a trusted reputation. In the first four years after our work together, the firm grew by 500%. With internal buy-in from new and old employees, clients responded in a big way, becoming FVF marketers and ambassadors. Ten years later, they have become a market leader in Austin and still credit their success to our branding work together.
